Wrapup of the Weekend

November 22nd, 2009 · Comments

With no clear winner in the whole Broadcaster vs. Cable/Satellite battle as of yet, it looks like another waste of time and taxpayer money to have these hearings. So we’ll just leave that at that.

With some people saying “New Moon” would do better than The Dark Knight, it’s nice to know THAT didn’t happen. Sadly though, it did make a shit load of money. $140 Million Dollars for that piece of shit.

In the whole teen sphere of celebrity, Miley Cyrus and some other Disney controlled kid (one that’s paid by the company and not your kid who does it for free) have spoken out against New Moon/Twilight. Miley told a radio station this week, “It’s a cult. I don’t believe in it.” Finally, the civilized world and YOU have one thing in common.

The American Music Awards take place tonight and really it’s just the junior version of the Grammy’s – which in itself aren’t that big. So screw that!

Here’s an odd one for ya, a gang in Peru has been arrested for illegally selling…wait for it…fat. Yes, this gang went out and killed what I presume to be obese people or just people with a few extra pounds, harvested the fat in their bodies and sold it to cosmetic companies. So next time you toss on a bit of that body creme…it might have come from someone else’s body. Recession is so bad, next they’re going to be breaking in and stealing copper wire from people’s walls.

Coming up this week, we’ll have a look at one person’s journey through an H1N1 line and more celebrity news and a healthy dose of sarcasm – not.

Thanks for reading once again.
