Weekend Writeup for 10/24

October 25th, 2009 · Comments

Happy Weekend Everybody,

here’s what’s happening in the world of…the world this past weekend.

Well, if you’re hiding in your home due to the H1N1 flu virus, Canadian’s will have access to the vaccine in the next few days.  Stateside, things aren’t as pretty, there are many vaccine shortages.  Normally, this is the point where I’d make some kind of snide remark but, this shit isn’t not scary.  There are people that don’t believe this is going to be a big deal, but I sure as hell don’t want to get it.

Onto lighter topics…the Saw film franchise/gravy train might finally stop!  The film was apparently trounced by Paranormal Activity, possibly stopping them from releasing any further installments – although the next one was supposed to be in 3-D so expect that to happen.  I remember working in a movie theatre when this came out…fun times if I recall.  I was like 16, you had to show ID to get into the theatre, most of the time though, people had issues with the whole thing, even calling me a prick for asking.  Some people are douchebags…

All-around funny guy David Cross admitted he did cocaine about 40 feet away from President Obama during the White House Correspondents Dinner earlier this year.  As much as I love him, part of me wants to call bullshit but another part of me would be, don’t want to say impressed but rather amazed he got away with it.

Haven’t seen too much in the world of weird foods although the internet is a big place and so is the world…

Other than all of that, for those who were hiding in their homes under a rock, that’s a quick weekend writeup.

See y’all later!
